Major Repair
In 2018 we were tasked with bringing the Briggs Marine owned Ross Point back to the water and overhauled the vessel from top to bottom.
Our tasks included:
- Complete external & internal component removal.
- Preparation for shot blasting.
- Installation of new fender.
- Fabrication of deck access doors & safety rail.
- Plate repairs to bow & forward mooring post.
- Supply & mount new hull anodes.
- Install propeller & shaft with new bushes & gland seals.
- Complete overhaul of steering mechanism including quadrant control cylinder, helm, rudder shaft & gland seals.
- Drain & clean fuel system.
- Installation of engine & gearbox aligning to inboard propeller flange.
- Complete electrical rewire – re designing and upgrading with marine grade components.
- Cleaning of all raw water pipework & coolers assembling with new hosing.
- Design & fabricate new wheel house door.
- Design toilet & kitchenette facilities.
- Install, certificate new fire suppression system.
- Fabricate & certificate davit arm.
- Paint in marine grade company colours.
- Assisting the MCA with inspection.
- Sea trials.
