Our Cummins Engine Repairs, Rebuilds and Spares
Our team has a deep-rooted history with Cummins, who are a global key player within our industry, dating back to the very early years when Garrick and Bob overhauled units at Exxtor (Associated British Ports). From then up to the present day we have worked on a variety of units ranging from 6BTA marine engines to QSB/QSC engines. We especially relish the challenge of resurrecting the older units, in situations where clients are reluctant to part ways with their trusted equipment.
We supply genuine original Cummins spare parts, precision components and also quality original manufacturer parts. Our work on their products ranges from on-site diagnosis work and maintenance to full engine rebuilds using genuine or aftermarket parts. From time to time we have manufactured obsolete components that cured many a headache for our customers. Although some may consider it quite small-scale work, the investment in a new engine is substantial so having the swift capabilities to diagnose and repair is paramount.

Our Experts
At Hickman Engineering, we have Matt Balderson and Shaun Polley who are our key players in this field having worked on Cummins units that are installed in various applications. For all parts advice we have Dave Smith, our Parts Manager. Ever since our business was established in 2004, Matt and Shaun have demonstrated particular skill with various applications including agricultural, truck, bus, marine and Ro-Ro equipment.
Previous Work
We have a great relationship with Harsco Teesside when it comes to working with their Cummins products and some of the components that we have assessed and overhauled for them include Cummins crankshafts and camshafts, pistons, cylinders, cylinder heads and cylinder blocks, as well as Cummins oil filters/pumps and water circulating pumps. We have successfully replaced or repaired various components ranging from pumps and coolers, to rods, seals and bearings.
